Premium EV Launch Event — Live Sound Design & Music
Live sound design and music production for a major automotive brand's EV launch event, including a 12-minute reveal sequence, walk-in music, and real-time audio-visual synchronization for 500 guests.
The Challenge
A major automotive brand's EV launch was a 500-person premium event with LED walls, laser shows, and a dramatic car reveal. They needed: 45 minutes of curated walk-in music setting a futuristic mood, a 12-minute orchestrated reveal sequence timed to video, lighting, and physical car movement (rotating platform, curtain drop), real-time audio sync with Ableton Live triggering, and post-event music for networking. The entire audio had to reinforce the theme 'The Future is Electric' — futuristic, powerful, clean.
The Approach
Composed the 12-minute reveal sequence first, working backward from the curtain-drop moment. Built the score in sections: anticipation (ambient drones + heartbeat pulse), brand story (cinematic strings + electronic elements), feature showcase (rhythmic, driving beats synced to on-screen specs), and the reveal climax (massive drop with sub-bass, orchestral hits, crowd-energizing percussion). Programmed the entire show in Ableton Live with MIDI triggers synced to the lighting console via timecode. Curated and mixed 45 minutes of walk-in ambient electronica that gradually intensified as the show start approached. Ran all audio live from a dual-redundant Ableton setup.
The Result
The reveal moment received a standing ovation. Social media clips of the launch sequence went viral, accumulating 2M+ views across platforms. The event production agency called it 'the most seamless audio-visual sync we've executed.' The brand retained us for subsequent EV launch events.
Deliverables
“When the curtain dropped and that bass hit, 500 people gasped in unison. The audio wasn't just accompanying the reveal — it WAS the reveal. Vivek's live execution was flawless.”
